The very best that this age has to offer will only leave creation groaning more passionately for the perfect.

The cost of discipleship should not dissuade us. Jesus said, “You will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved(Mat 10:22).

If we have read about the great tension in the cosmos in places like the book of Isaiah or the sad-yet-hopeful “national anthem of Israel” given through Moses by the LORD in Deuteronomy 32 then we know that we are joining into that which generations of prophets have looked forward to. We, disciples of Jesus Messiah, are participating in “The Resolution of All Things!”

Many of us are now reading Matthew chapter 13 to better understand the nature of this Messiah’s Rescue…this Christ’s Kingdom…this Way to “The Resolution of All Things”.

Today I ran across some information that makes me question some of the links in my blogroll (well not really question the links but the actions of the blog owners).

Without saying too much…take a look at this post and/or this post and decide for yourself (it isn’t a joke).

I realize there will always be a “line” there that “famous” people in the ministry will try to defend (I am talking about the spending of money on conventions/cruises and the like). However, I wonder how Christ-like and how (ir)responsible blowing money in such a way really is.

Steve Camp and Phil Johnson have been in my blogroll for a long time. Since they are in my blogroll, I felt it was important for me to point out that

having a link in my blogroll != support for said person and/or organization

(”!=” means “not equal to”). My blogroll simply consists of blogs that I read, visit, and/or find interesting. You may find blogs in my blogroll that I do not agree with so do your DD and always check everything against the Scripture.

Ok, I thought I would mention an untold (or unspoken) evil that takes place during halloween.

I already posted some thoughts on why I don’t think Christians should celebrate halloween.

However, I wanted to post a reason that people all across the world should not celebrate halloween.

And that is…

…the massive amounts of REFINED SUGAR that will be consumed because of the holiday.

Halloween promotes the consumption of the evil element called sugar (refined). Not only will sugar rot your teeth, it damages your body in too many ways to be listed. In addition, it will make you fat! So I ask you, as a Christian, can you in good conscience support the detriment of children’s health just to celebrate an occult holiday? :)
