not “bound” by OT law

by BA on March 14, 2006

Since I am one who believes we, as Christians, are truly “free” and we are no longer “bound” by OT law…I thought I would post this PDF file of 1050 (800) NT commands that I ran across by Finnis Jennings Dake.

You may also view them at the following URL in html format, though I caution you, the colors used on the webpage are horrid.

Wow, that really pulls the rug out from ‘not under the law’ argument. :) Of course through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ we can keep these commandments.

Thanks for the link.

Well I don’t believe we are under “the law” as it was once known. I prefer to say we are not “bound” by the law though. If you are a Christian you are under (and bound) by Christ. Jesus is the law for all practical purposes. We are to be Christ like (which involves a lot more than one might think).

I believe the legalists do Christ and His sacrifice a great injustice. However, the above link gives us plenty of commands to follow. :)
