Greek New Testament Availability

I just wanted to vent a little. I ordered a leather bound Greek New Testament from Amazon.com today and the order shows that it won’t ship until October! That is just ridiculous. Online ordering is really my only option and all the other places I looked seemed to have similar shipping times. Perhaps it is because of the specific version I ordered, but that is what I wanted. At any rate, I just wanted to get that off my chest. :)

  2. I didn’t realize you read koine Greek, cool :). That is a bummer that it’s going to take so long to receive your Greek text! The English is still pretty good though :)!

  4. I do not fluently read Koine Greek (yet). I decided a while back that I wanted to become fluent in the original languages of the Scripture so I am just a Greek “student”. However, I view the study of Greek as an ongoing process. In other words, I am not sure when I will reach the Greek “scholar” level…maybe 10 years? :)

  6. “Maybe 10yrs”, is a good benchmark. I have taken Greek (in Bible College/Seminary) for 3yrs, and I feel like I am just starting to scratch the surface :). Its definitely a daily committment. If you ever want to interact around your studies, I would be happy to dialogue. I need the continued stimulation as well.
