On Giving
Just a quick comment on live 8 and giving in general.
I ran across a couple comments about live 8 at challies.com and pyromaniac.
One thing I don’t quite get is the publicity these “famous people” get when events like these take place.
Christians should be taking a Biblical perspective on giving…which is contrary to what the worldy perspective is.
The worldly perspective takes into account only one thing: how much money someone gives. The Christian should be taking into account how much someone gives in relation to how much they have.
Let us stop looking at sums of donated money (giving) and praising these individuals. Instead, let us look on such matters as Jesus did (see Mark 12:41-44).
